Project description: Feasibility and planning study including harbor works at techno economic and geotechnical level. The study included: a) The transformation of the harbor at Aidipsos as a marina with port and land facilities b) Construction of a new harbor for passenger ships


Completed works:
  • Preliminary design of harbor works for conversion to a marina including geotechnical and technoeconomic studies.


Works description: New Harbor for passengers ships
  • 385.0m new quay walls for five ferry boats, designed with wave absorption armour units ("IGLOO" type)
  • Port and land facilities, included safe berth equipment, 30000m2 land for passengers and vehicles, parking area etc
  • 140.0m2 auxiliary building
  • 500.0m2 administration building and passenger hosting station
  • New road node for safe entry and exit of vehicles
  • storm water drainage works
  • lighting facilities, water supply and sewerage (residues vessels) and fire protection infrastructure

 

Port conversion into a marina with capacity of 70 boats

  • 65.0m new quay wall, 85.0m extension of the east mole and 36.0m extension of the west mole
  • Ramp lifting vessels
  • Port and land facilities in 8000m2, including safe berth equipment
  • lighting facilities, water / electricity supply and sewerage (residues vessels) and modern fire detection and fire fighting equipment
