Project description: The study concerned the detailed research and analysis of a range of information and data, in order to recommend appropriate works for the improvement and development of the existing harbour and other land facilities, which will both serve and upgrade the harbour at Koroni and also highlight the cultural heritage.

Completed works: Our office conducted the following studies:

  • Final study of harbour, hydraulic and works for access roads

In cooperation with other offices we conducted the following studies:

  • Environmental impact assessment
  • Architectural study for land area
  • Study of land use planning
  • Electro logical study

Works description:
  • Extension of windward quay wall with composite cross section, construction of a rubble mound break water, berths reconstruction, construction of two piers, so as to serve approximately 300 vessels of up to 18 m. The design of port development has taken into account the need to protect adjacent coasts of marine erosion
  • New marine design at the east side of the harbour, in order to serve 50 small yachts and for protection against wave attack of the Venetian castle of Koroni.
  • Land facilities (waste water collection tanks and oil residues) and electrical facilities platforms (electricity supply, water supply, fire fighting, etc.)
  • Land deck construction with local stones and architectural design with wooden kiosks, access roads, area with plants and parking area.
  • Works for rainwater drainage
