Project description: With the process of carrying out environmental studies, it was explored the impact on the marine and terrestrial environment before and after the construction of harbour works to serve 30 vessels. The study took into account the developmental planning of "MIRABELLO S.A." in conjunction with the company's policy for the protection of the environment, in order to determine whether the proposed work is consistent with the local and social requirements of the region of the project, the safety and the protection of public health and the environment.

Works description:
  • 100.70m windward quay wall with composite cross section, seawall with mass concrete units and rubble mound with rocks.
  • Basin from 3.50m depth until 5.0m depth
  • 74.70m berth with mass concrete units at 3.50m depth
  • 10.55m pier with trapezoide shape
  • 215.0m beach fill with sand
  • 56.80m rock armour revetment in order to protect the beach fill and to extend the land area
  • 47.60m detached breakwater with composite cross section for sailing crafts
  • 48.0m floating pontoon in order to connect the breakwater with the land area
  • Land area with access roads, plants and pedestrians
  • Land facilities (waste water collection tanks and oil residues) and electrical facilities platforms (electricity supply, water supply, fire fighting, etc.)
  • Equipment for safe berthing at all berths
