Project description: The study concerns the investigation of the environmental impact assessment of works for coastal protection in the region at Kalo Nero. The effects on the marine and terrestrial environment were studied before and after the construction of the works. Particular attention was given to the environmental planning of works taking into account the sensitive environment of the area (NATURA).

  • 2 rubble mound groins with rock armour units, at the estuarine of river “Brazeris”, 140.0m each
  • 4 rubble mound submerged breakwaters with rock armour units, 110.0m each
  • Relief of rocks and reefs at 75.0m length
  • 4 detached breakwaters with rock armour units, 100.0m each
  • 115.0m of a terminal rubble mound groin with rock armour units
  • 2 rubble mound groins with rock armour units, at the estuarine of river “Arkadikos”, 100.0m each
